D.R. Sharma, Senior Regional Director of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), was lauded for his dedication, discipline, and sincerity during a felicitation ceremony marking his retirement, at K.B.N. College on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, IGNOU Deputy Director K. Sumalatha praised Mr. Sharma for maintaining cordial relationships with colleagues across all levels, without any sense of hierarchy. Â
K.B.N. College secretary T. Srinivasu noted that Mr. Sharma was one of the few officers across regional centres in the country to have achieved the rare distinction of serving as a Senior Regional Director. V. Narayanarao, administrative officer at Hindu High Schools, described Mr. Sharma as not only an able administrator, but also a talented literary figure and author, possessing a multifaceted intellect.
The event saw participation from K.B.N. College principal G. Krishnaveni, IGNOU Deputy Registrar C. Balachander, and Deputy Director P. Sharath Chandra, all of whom extended their appreciation to Mr. Sharma. The IGNOU team gave Mr. Sharma a warm and grand farewell, recognising his invaluable contributions to the institution and the field of open education.
