NEW DELHI: The political rivalry between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has escalated through a series of pointed poster campaigns ahead of the Delhi assembly elections.
AAP initiated a new round of poster advertisements targeting the BJP, triggering a swift retaliation from the BJP on the social media platform X.
AAP took a dig at the BJP for not declaring a chief ministerial candidate and shared with the caption “Delhi ka CM Kaun?”. The poster positioned Arvind Kejriwal as the face of the “Aam Aadmi Party” while labeling the BJP as the “Gaali Galoch Party”.

The poster accused BJP leaders of making derogatory remarks, including calling out Amit Shah for allegedly disrespecting Baba Saheb, JP Nadda for insulting Purvanchalis, Ramesh Bidhuri for targeting a female CM, Virendra Sachdeva for insulting a former CM, and Manoj Tiwari for making obscene remarks about women.

AAP released an additional poster titled “BJP ke Gaalibaz Daanavon Se Delhi Rahe Satark,” displaying images of BJP officials including Amit Shah, Manoj Tiwari, Ramesh Bidhuri, Virendra Sachdeva, and Pravesh Verma.
In response, the BJP issued a poster criticising AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal’s treatment of the Purvanchal community. With the caption “Purvanchal Samaj ka Apmaan, Sheeshmahal ke Nawab Kejriwal ki Pehchaan!,” the poster labelled Kejriwal as hostile to the Purvanchal community, claiming he dismissed them as illegitimate and deserted them during the Covid-19 crisis, whilst consistently ridiculing them when opportunities arose.
