‘Doesn’t have virtue to be country’s leader’: Punjab CM Mann ridicules Rahul Gandhi-OxBig News Network

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Sunday ridiculed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying he doesn’t have the “virtue” to be the country’s leader and the grand old party couldn’t launch him.

During a formal chat at a private broadcaster’s event in the national capital, Punjab CM Mann said the Leader of Opposition in Parliament Rahul Gandhi sits in America or goes to Italy whenever there is an important Parliament session.

While speaking about the politics in the country, Mann said, “Who else is visible as an opposition leader in the country? That gentleman.” The interviewer responded by saying: “Rahul Gandhi”.

Mann said, “He sometimes goes to Italy. To his grandmother or his maternal uncle. Whenever there is an important session of the country, he sits in America. Isn’t it.”

He added: “So, his launch is still ongoing. I mean, Sriharikota launched Chandrayan quickly, but that guy could not be launched by the Congress. The launch is going on. Isn’t it.”

He also went on to say that, “God has not given him that virtue. Why are you pushing him to become a leader? It is not like family fiefdom that the son will come after the father and so on. Please leave him. Poor guy, he is very sad about where he is stuck.”
