A retired Army man was killed and his family members, including wife and daughter, were injured in a suspected militant attack in south Kashmir’s Kulgam on Monday (February 3, 2025.)
Preliminary reports suggested that the retired soldier Manzoor Ahmad and his family members were fired upon by gunmen in Behibagh area of Kulgam. Officials said Ahmad succumbed to injuries in the hospital. The family members, who sustained injuries in limbs, are said to be stable.
The Jammu & Kashmir Police has not issued any statement on the incident. No militant outfit has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
