Members of Navyandhra Teachers’ Association requested the government to ensure that the salaries for the month of June are disbursed on the first day of the month to all teachers who were transferred recently.
In a statement on Tuesday, the association’s State president K. Harikrishna and general secretary M. Srinivasa Rao pointed out that around 66,700 teachers across Andhra Pradesh had been relocated through transfers. They said that the government should make arrangements to make sure that these teachers receive their full salaries for the month of June without any delay or technical issues.
They also requested for prompt sanction of position IDs for the newly-created posts and proper coordination with the Director of Treasuries and Accounts to ensure that instructions were issued to the district treasuries regarding salary processing for teachers transferred to existing vacancies.
They emphasised the need for seamless technical execution of the process to prevent any possible delay in salary disbursal and said teachers, under no circumstances, should face any hardship due to procedural delay.
