Kozhikode gears up for grand New Year celebrations-OxBig News Network

Kozhikode city is set to ring in the New Year with a host of grand celebrations. Kozhikode’s nightlife is stepping into the spotlight with several large-scale events planned across the city.

Major celebrations include the event at Hotel Tiara by MPS, where Thakara Band, saxophonist Shaheer, and DJ Mental Mush will share the centre stage from 6 p.m. to midnight.

The Gokulam Galleria Music Festival (GMF-2) will take place on the rooftop of Gokulam Galleria Mall from 6 p.m. to midnight, featuring rappers Vedan and Gabri, along with DJ Trement and music director Hisham Abdul Wahab.

At HiLite Mall, the Chorus Reflection 5.0 event will showcase performances by singer Job Kurien and DJ Purohit from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Meanwhile, ‘Frisky Night 2.0’ will be held at the HiLite Business Park from 6:30 p.m. The Le Chicago Bar and Grill at Sasthapuri, Palayam, will also host a party featuring DJ Alexa.

Another major event, Road to Free Ground, will take place at the Calicut Trade Centre from 6 p.m. to midnight. The show features performances by Avial Band, actor-singer Sreenath Bhasi, violinist and guitarist Crishma from the band Cut-a-vibe, and DJ Shaiflai (Shayantani Gupta).

In addition to these large gatherings, smaller private parties are being organised at hotels around the city. Public celebrations will take place at Mananchira Square and Kozhikode Beach, which are expected to draw significant crowds.

Many of the events will feature fireworks and midnight countdowns. Entry is mostly through prior booking via popular ticketing platforms or direct purchases at the venues. Ticket prices range from ₹799 to ₹7,000, depending on the venue and event package.
