Man killed, mother injured in wild elephant attack at Mundur-OxBig News Network

A 24-year-old man was killed and his mother injured seriously in a wild elephant attack at Mundur, near here, on Sunday night. Allen Kulathingal, son of Vinu Athaniparamba from Kayarangode, Mundur, and his mother Vijaya were attacked by the elephant while they were walking towards home around 8 p.m.

People rushed both of them to the Government District Hospital here. Allen died while his mother sustained serious injuries to her head. Although elephant raids are not rare in and around Mundur, a fatal attack on local residents is a first.
