The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development along with the National Institute for Research on Commercial Agriculture (ICAR-NIRCA), Rajahmundry, will train Farmers’ Producers Organisations and farmers in post-harvest management and technologies for turmeric and chilli.Â
In an interaction with the FPOs and farmers, NIRCA Director M. Sheshu Madhav said that the post-harvesting and processing technologies will play a key role in enhancing value for chilli and turmeric crops which are highly sensitive to moisture and microbial contamination.
NABARD Assistant General Manager M. Rajasekhara Reddy and East Godavari District Manager R. Chakradhar interacted with farmers at a programme at the NIRCA campus.
