Omega Hospital CEO Dr. Ch Namrata was arrested by Raidurgam police while purchasing cocaine from a Mumbai-based supplier late on Friday. The police seized over 50 grams of the contraband along with cash.
The accused Dr. Ch. Namrata was arrested near her residence in Shaikpet while accepting the contraband. She was arrested along with supplier Balakrishna, and was remanded to judicial custody on Friday night.
Following a tip-off and technical intelligence, the police reached the spot.
“After the supplier reached Hyderabad, he made a call to Namrata and she sent him the delivery location,” an official from the Raidurgam police said.
The police said that a sample was collected and sent to the Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for analysis. The supplier is in custody and the police are looking for another person, said to be a local peddler, involved in the trade.
