One killed, another injured after falling at under-construction site in Miyapur-OxBig News Network

A man was killed and another sustained serious injury after they fell into an elevator shaft at an under-construction building in Miyapur on Thursday (March 13, 2025).

The deceased was identified as 30-year-old Surender, a native of Uttar Pradesh, while his 22-year-old friend Kishan, was under medical care. Both were working as labourers at the construction site in Hafeezpet.

According to the police, the incident was reported around 7 p.m. on Thursday. Preliminary investigations revealed that both men were allegedly intoxicated at the time. “One of them was talking on the phone while the other was asleep. We are waiting for Kishan to gain consciousness to understand the circumstances that led to this mishap,” a Miyapur police official said. A case was booked and investigation is under way.
