Karnataka Muzrai and Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy directed the Endowment Department Commissioner to organise special prayers in all temples under the Muzrai Department in honour of the Indian army.

The directive comes in the wake of India’s military action ’Operation Sindoor’ carried out earlier on May 7 targeting terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The operation was reportedly in response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, in which 28 persons lost their lives.

“Conveying best wishes to our proud Indian army for this operation. It is hereby directed that special prayers be conducted in all the Muzrai temples in the name of the Indian army praying to the deity to bless the Indian army with even greater strength,” Mr. Reddy stated in his order on May 7.
