St. Stephen’s College, St. Thomas School Receive Bomb Threat Emails; Security Tightened-OxBig News Network

St. Thomas School in the Dwarka area of Delhi and St. Stephen’s College of Delhi University have received bomb threats on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police Bomb Squad, Dog Squad, Delhi Fire Brigade team, and Special Staff team are on the scene. The threat was reportedly given through mail. 

ANI reported, citing Delhi Police, that St. Thomas School and St. Stephen’s College have been evacuated, and so far, the authorities have not found anything suspicious at either place.

BSE Bomb Threat

Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday received an email threatening to blow it up. The bomb squad and police reached the spot but nothing suspicious was found. 

The threatening email was received from an email ID named Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan. The email threatened that 4 RDX IED bombs have been placed in the tower building of the BSE and would explode at 3 pm. 

As per ANI, a case has been registered against an unknown person in Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg Police Station under sections 351(1)(b), 353(2), 351(3), 351(4) of BNS, and further investigation has been initiated.

School Bomb Threat 

In a separate incident, two schools in Delhi, one in Chanakyapuri and another in Dwarka, received bomb threats via email on Monday. However, no explosives were found in the combing operation. 

According to ANI, the police have informed that there were anti-Tamil Nadu government messages in the email sent to Chanakyapuri School. 
CRPF School Bomb Threat 

About the bomb threat e-mail received at a CRPF school, Dwarka, DCP Ankit Kumar Singh said that the Bomb Disposal Squad reached there with sniffer dogs and the premises were checked. 

“The CRPF school in Dwarka received an email early in the morning, which mentioned a bomb threat. The Bomb Disposal Squad reached there with sniffer dogs. The entire premises were checked. No suspicious article was recovered. Cyber Teams and Special Task Teams are working on the email and its source,” the top cop said.
