HYDERABAD

Two new Members of the Telangana Electricity Regulatory Commission (TGERC) — Kancharla Raghu (Technical) and C. Srinivasa Rao (Finance) — were administered oath by the Chairman of the Commission Devaraju Nagarjun on Monday to make the panel full strength.

At the oath-administering ceremony, the warrant of appointment was read out by Principal Secretary (Energy and Finance) Sandeep Kumar Sultania. Chairman and Managing Director of the TGSPDCL Md. Musharraf Faruqui, CMD of TG-Transco D. Krishna Bhaskar, CMD of Singareni Collieries Company Ltd N. Balaram and several other officials of the power utilities and energy sector attended the event.

Mr. Raghu has vast experience in the energy sector by virtue of working with TG-Transco starting from Assistant Engineer. He holds a masters degree in Structural Engineering and played vital role in planning and execution of several Extra High Tension sub-stations and transmission projects, development of min-hydel power plants and implementation of the regulatory and policy matters. He also authored a training manual.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao is a 1992 batch officer of Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) and is a post graduate in engineering as well as in management. During his 30 plus years of experience, including over 15 years of service in the energy sector, in handling the portfolios of finance, accounts, commercial operations, regulatory affairs, HRD, IT, project finance and working capital management.
