Following reduced rainfall in Maharashtra, water released into the Krishna river and its tributaries has reduced slightly.
Water release on Friday was 67,597 cusecs, around 5% percent less than Thursday.
Inflow into the Lal Bahadur Shastri reservoir over the Krishna in Almatti was 70,440 cusecs and outflow was 70,000 cusecs. There was around 68.3 tmcft. of water in the dam, against the full level of 123 tmcft.
The inflow into the Raja Lakhamagouda reservoir over the Ghataprabha in Hidkal was around 8468 cusecs and outflow was 126 cusecs. The dam has around 48.9 tmcft. of water against the full level of 51 tmcft. Inflow into the Renuka Sagar dam was 4258 cusecs and the outflow was 194 cusecs. The dam has around 12 .2 tmcft. of water against the full level of 37 tmcft.
