The US Embassy in India has warned visa holders to strictly adhere to established immigration rules, cautioning that failure to do so could lead to visa revocation and deportation.
In a post on the social media platform X, the embassy stated, “Visa screening does not stop after a visa is issued. We continuously check visa holders to ensure they follow all U.S. laws and immigration rules – and we will revoke their visas and deport them if they don’t.”

Previously, the US had issued an advisory requiring visa applicants to submit their social media account details, which were monitored for any content or opinions contrary to US laws.
