A 50-year-old lady died on the spot after a tree fell on her following rains accompanied by gusty winds at Arji village in Virajpet taluk in Kodagu on Saturday.
The deceased has been recognized as Gowri. Kodagu has been witnessing average to heavy rains for the previous few days. Virajpet tahsildar, income inspector, and the gram panchayat president of the world rushed to the village and enquired in regards to the incident.
