Israel-Hezbollah War live updates: Deafening sonic booms from Israeli warplanes were witnessed in Lebanon’s Beirut days after pager explosions, and subsequent walkie-talkie explosions targeting armed militant group Hezbollah claimed lives.
The development came not so long after Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah denounced the pager explosions and blamed Israel for it. Nasrallah also said Israel violated “red lines” and the move could be a “declaration of war”.
The Israel Defence Forces in a tweet said they were striking Hezbollah targets in Lebanon to degrade Hezbollah’s terrorist capabilities and infrastructure.
