Kajol says she can’t agree with Simran and Raj fasting for Karwa Chauth in ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ : ‘Bhookha kisko rehna hai’ | Hindi Movie News

While discussing the 1995 romantic hit ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge‘ (DDLJ) by Aditya Chopra, Kajol shared her disagreement with some of her character’s choices in the film.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Kajol revealed that she could not relate to Simran, the character she portrayed, or to Shah Rukh Khan’s character, Raj, both of whom fast for Karwa Chauth in the movie. Kajol remarked, “I didn’t agree with Simran in a lot of places.”
When Kriti Sanon pointed out that Raj also fasted on Karwa Chauth for Simran, Kajol responded humorously, saying, “Haan toh? Bhookha kisko rehna hai?” (Yes, so what? Who likes to stay hungry?).
Kajol made her acting debut in 1992 with ‘Bekhudi’. She has shared the screen with Shah Rukh Khan in several iconic films, including ‘Baazigar’, ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘My Name is Khan’ , and ‘Dilwale’. The duo also shares a close friendship off-screen.
