Veteran Tamil actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan on Wednesday praised the Indian armed forces for Operation Sindoor, a major military operation carried out earlier in the day targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

On his official X handle, Kamal called the operation a “resolute response of a strong nation that will not be divided by cowardly acts of terror.”

Many celebrities, including Rajinikanth, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Sivakarthikeyan and Prakash Raj, have praised the military operation, which targeted nine terrorist sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Operation Sindoor continues to dominate headlines. The Indian Army, in a coordinated strike, hit nine terror-linked locations, including sites in Kotli, Muzaffarabad, and Faisalabad. Officials clarified that the strikes were targeted, measured, and deliberately non-escalatory, avoiding any Pakistani military. The officials emphasised India’s commitment to avoiding a wider conflict, even while sending a clear message.

The operation, in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, is being seen as a strategic response to continued cross-border threats.
