This was part of the promotions for Akshay’s film ‘Housefull 2’, in which Asin starred. Since Micromax was a sponsor of the Asia Cup, the event became the backdrop for their initial interaction. Jokingly, Rahul referred to Dhaka as the “most romantic place on Earth” where he met his future wife.
During the match, Rahul and Asin exchanged greetings but did not engage in a deep conversation.
