‘Loveyapa’ box office collection day 4: The Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s rom-com sees a major drop; mints only Rs.0.60 crore on Monday |

The much-anticipated movie ‘Loveyapa’ headlined by Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor made it to the theatres on February 7, 2025. During the promotions, owing to the various factors, assumptions were being made that the film would not be able to clear the box office test. On the contrary, the surprising Twitter review of the audience and the debut weekend numbers spoke otherwise. However, on its first Monday, the movie recorded a major dip in the business. From a collection of Rs. 1.75 crore on Sunday, it dropped to Rs. 0.60 crore on Monday, according to the early estimates of Sacnilk.
Directed by Advait Chandan, ‘Loveyapa’ is a Hindi remake of a hit 2022 film ‘Love Today’, which opened with Rs. 1.15 crore. On the weekend, it saw a surge, as it made a business of Rs. 1.65 crore on Saturday and Rs. 1.75 crore on Sunday. However, as Monday came, the business went down and the movie struggled to make even a crore After a 4 day run at the box office, the film’s net collection in India stands at – Rs5.15 crore.
It is worth noting that the first working week day post the debut weekend has not only been disappointing for ‘Loveyapa’ but also for its competitor ‘Badass Ravikumar.’ The Himesh Reshammiya starrer, which was released on the same day as ‘Loveyapa’ also made similar business on Monday. However, since the movie had a better opening weekend collection, it still is leading the reigns at the box office.

Marking the big screen debut of Junaid Khan, ‘Loveyapa’ is a tale of a couple, who are forced to exchange their phones. Their relationship goes through a whole journey once the phone unlocks their secrets. This concept and the storyline make the movie very relatable for the present generation.
Even Aamir Khan feels the same, and thus, during the promotions he told ANI, “Speaking with ANI he said, “I have watched the rough cut. I liked this film. It is very entertaining. The way our lives have turned out these days due to cellphones, and the interesting things that happen in our life due to this have been shown here.”
“All the actors have done a good job. When I watched the film and saw Khushi (Kapoor), I felt that I was watching Sridevi. Her energy was there, I could see. I am a huge fan of Sridevi,” he added while praising the cast.
