In the wake of the recent Operation Sindoor, several leading voices from South Indian cinema have stepped forward to salute the Indian Armed Forces for their decisive action against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Veteran actor Mammootty led the tributes on social media, calling the Indian Army “real heroes” for their swift response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack. “Salute to our Real Heroes! #OperationSindoor proved again, when the nation calls, the #IndianArmy answers. Thank you for saving lives and restoring hope. You make the nation proud. Jai Hind!” the Malayalam superstar wrote on X.

Echoing the sentiment, actor Mohanlal reflected on the symbolism of the operation’s name. “We wore Sindoor not just as a tradition, but as a symbol of our unwavering resolve. Challenge us and we will rise, fearless and stronger than ever. Saluting every brave heart of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and BSF. Your courage fuels our pride,” he posted.

Actor Prakash Raj, known for both his acting range and political commentary, also voiced his support with a direct message: “Saluting our Indian Armed Forces… India will never tolerate terrorism… #JaiHind.”

Meanwhile, G.V. Prakash, a composer and actor, kept his tribute brief, writing “Jai Hind #OperationSindoor” with a saluting emoji.

These messages from top-tier actors come as Operation Sindoor continues to dominate headlines. The Indian Army, in a coordinated strike, hit nine terror-linked locations, including sites in Kotli, Muzaffarabad, and Faisalabad. Officials clarified the strikes were targeted, measured, and deliberately non-escalatory, avoiding any Pakistani military assets.
