Early Marriage Isolation

Reflecting on her early twenties, she shared, “I think we (Mira and her friends) did evolve separately. I’d like to admit that it was quite isolating because we were just in different phases of life at that time. You get to different phases in life, and you look at your friends… I wish I could do what she’s doing.” While her peers were pursuing further education, taking breaks, or traveling, Mira was adjusting to an entirely new atmosphere, be it city, home or even family dynamics.

She also recalls having genuine trouble addressing her new lifestyle to her friends. While her friends quite understandably felt likethey were being forgotten post her marriage, Mira was in an entirely different space and was often ‘caught up’ and busy. Fortunately their bond endured the test of time. “I don’t think they understood it then, but fortunately, the friendship kind of sustained. They understand it now because they’re in a similar phase,” Mira added with a smile.
Shahid Kapoor: The Anti-Gossip Hubby

On the podcast, she humorously revealed Shahid’s complete disinterest in celebrity gossip. Sharing his complete disinterest, she said “He hates gossip! Hates indulging in it, and for some reason, doesn’t end up filtering anything to me either,” she laughed, adding “he’s the least interested in gossip — that’s just not his thing.”

Her Take on Reddit Rumours
Interestingly, Mira Kapoor finds the world of online gossip, particularly the ‘theories and teas’ on Reddit, quite engaging. As she admitted, “Reddit has so many theories and teas and whatnot going on. Half the time I’m like, ‘I didn’t even know so much stuff was happening!’” She finds it particularly amusing when the subject of the gossip turns to her own life. “The funniest is when it’s about me and I’m like, ‘This never happened!’ Then I have to check myself and think, ‘If this is so far from reality, then 90% of these other stories I’ve been guzzling down are probably just as fake.’” This realization prompts her to question the veracity of much of the celebrity speculation circulating online.
