The NYSE and Nasdaq are closed and so is the bond market. This is in observance of Juneteenth, which has become a federal holiday in the past few years. As such, expect lighter trading conditions in the day ahead and a quieter session when we get to North America trading in particular. The focus then will lie solely on whether the US will intervene between Iran and Israel. The latest here: The US is considering an attack on Iran this coming weekend

In Europe though, we’ll be wrapping up the central bank bonanza for this week. The SNB and BOE are both on the agenda but their policy decisions are likely to be rather straightforward. The former is expected to cut again by 25 bps to stave off deflationary pressures while the latter is expected to keep its bank rate unchanged though the vote decision might intrigue.
