Not much from tariffs today, but geopolitical risks are increased after the U.S. over the weekendd conducted military strikes on Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen, killing at least 53 people, after the group threatened to resume attacks on shipping in the Red Sea.

The Houthis, backed by Iran, vowed retaliation, claiming the strikes targeted civilians. The attacks mark the most significant U.S. military action in the region under President Trump.

U.S. officials described the strikes as successful, targeting Houthi leadership and military infrastructure. The U.S. justified the strikes as necessary to defend its interests and restore freedom of navigation in the Red Sea.

Pres. Trump on Truth Social, responded with his own threat.
