- Trump has been clear that he won’t do tariff exemptions in the near term
The question the market has right now is whether the tariffs scheduled to go into effect at midnight are delayed. The thinking around that is: why not have them on Monday with the 10% tariffs?
He was asked if the tariffs would go into effect:
“This is what the President has said,” he replied.
