Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui has opened up about why Salman Khan‘s most recent movie, ‘Sikandar,’ didn’t do well at the box office. In a recent interview, Nawazuddin made it clear that Salman shouldn’t have to shoulder all the responsibility, describing filmmaking as a team effort in which each member’s contribution is valued.

Nawazuddin, who previously worked alongside Salman in popular films like ‘Kick’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan,’ praised the superstar’s huge impact on viewers. During his conversation with Lallantop, he pointed out that Salman’s appearance alone has the power to turn even an average picture into a box office hit. When a movie star like Salman Khan accepts a project, the producers are even more accountable. Nawazuddin clarified, “You’ve been handed a goldmine, and it’s up to the team to deliver.” He brings his fan following, his stardom, and his charisma.
‘The Sacred Games’ star noted that ‘Sikandar’ is one among the few exceptions in Salman’s otherwise successful career. Nawazuddin said, “There have been a lot of mediocre films that became huge hits just because Salman Khan starred in them.” Although he admitted that he had not seen ‘Sikandar’ yet, he emphasized that a movie’s success or failure is determined by factors other than the fame of its star.
He continued, “The director’s responsibility increases when you have someone like Salman Khan onboard. ” Having an actor like Salman Khan on board increases the director’s responsibility.” He added that the actor offers his fan base, his charming personality, and all of the excitement that surrounds him. Nawazuddin went on to say, “But it’s the makers’ job to put essence and craft into the film.”
