Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and Bandi Sanjay Kumar also applauded the army, saying it was a fitting response to the attack in Pahalgam.Operation Sindoor: What Happened?In a statement released by the defence ministry at 1:44 am, the operation was called “focused, measured, and non-escalatory in nature.” According to news agency PTI, the targets included the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) headquarters in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s (LeT) base in Muridke. The airstrikes were carried out in response to the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which took the lives of 26 innocent civilians, sparking national outrage and sorrow.
