Piers Morgan issues apology to Jay-Z, Beyoncé after Jaguar Wright’s drags their name in ‘Diddy’ drama – Times of India

Piers Morgan, host of theUncensored show, issued an on-air apology to Jay-Z and Beyoncé earlier this week after his interview with Jaguar Wright. During the interview, Wright made allegations against the superstar couple, which were later proven to be false.
Taking accountability for his actions, Morgan during his show on Tuesday, said that Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s lawyers had contacted him regarding Jaguar Wright’s recent claims. He said that accusations made by Wright “were totally false and have no basis in fact,” The Hollywood Reporter added.
Morgan explained, “The thing about platforms, the reality of the modern world is that pretty much everyone has a platform as long as they have something to say that other people want to hear. That’s why we invited [Wright] on to be interviewed. The people making these claims have an audience with or without shows like mine.”
Wright, an American singer, made an appearance on Morgan’s show, where she spoke about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ scandal. She said: “For four years, I’ve been screaming not just Diddy, but Diddy and Jay-Z are monsters, and the victim-making machine kept going on.”
When Morgan asked why Jay-Z has yet to speak out about Diddy, Wright said, “Because that’s what he does. Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein, Robert Kelly, Sean Combs have one person in common professionally and privately: Shawn Carter.”
Then Morgan asked about the total number of potential victims, Wright stated there could be ‘thousands.’ She then implicated Beyoncé in the discussion, claiming that the Texas hold em’ singer was allegedly aware of the unjust events that had taken place over the years.
“They’re a nasty little couple. They do nasty things. Keeping people against their will, putting people on planes while they’re unconscious. Just like Aaliyah got on that plane unconscious. There’s a lot of things that people don’t want to talk about, Piers… I’m just being honest.”
Morgan further clarified, “We had lawyers contact us to say that those claims were totally false and have no basis in fact, and we’ve therefore complied with a legal request to cut them from the original interview.”
He ended his message with an apology, saying, “Editing interviews is not something we do lightly at a show called Uncensored, but like the proverbial cries of fire in a crowded theatre, there are legal limits on us, too. And we apologize to Jay-Z and Beyoncé.”
