Washington. US presidential candidate Donald Trump on Friday accused election rival Kamala Harris of being anti-Semitic in a speech to rally religious supporters. Vice President Kamala Harris, who is married to a Jewish man, has taken a lead over Trump in the polls. She replaced Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket just days ago. Former Republican President Trump fiercely attacked Harris’ record as Biden’s number two during his address to a religious conference in southern Florida.
Explaining why Harris, 59, skipped Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to the US Congress on Wednesday, Trump accused her of being anti-Semitic. He said, “She doesn’t like Jewish people. She doesn’t like Israel. That’s the way it is, and it will always be that way. She’s not going to change.” Friday’s hour-long speech, organized by the far-right Turning Point Action, raised questions about Harris’ past statements on policing, immigration and the environment.
Donald Trump described Joe Biden’s decision to quit the election campaign as a “coup” by Democrats and said America was becoming a “laughing stock”. But he used his worst slurs for Harris, calling her a “crook” and a failed vice president who had rejected federal judges for being Catholic and would appoint “radical Marxists” to the Supreme Court.
Trump said, “If Kamala Harris is elected, she will prove to be the worst liberal president in the history of America… As a member of the Senate, Harris was number one among the most extreme leftist Democrat leaders in the entire Senate.” He said, “Our job is to defeat socialism, defeat Marxism, defeat communism, defeat gangs and criminals and human traffickers, women traffickers.
