Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared a poem on her Instagram feed, stating that it helped her thrive during the toughest times in her life. The actress quoted a few lines from Rudyard Kipling’s most acclaimed poem, If. As soon as she posted the note on her social media handle, actor Arjun Kapoor reacted, mentioning that he had a similar experience.

The poem reads, “If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise.”

It continues, “If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’”
Samantha shared the poem with the caption: “This poem has always been a guiding light for me, and I wanted to share it with you today. 🤍🤍🤍”

Arjun Kapoor, who recently announced his breakup with actress Malaika Arora, reacted to the post, saying the poem also helped him navigate challenging times. He commented: “I have a print of this on my wall… Really helped me when I needed inspiration 🙌👏.”
Samantha Ruth Prabhu married her boyfriend, actor Naga Chaitanya, in 2017, but the couple divorced in 2021. Following the separation, Samantha faced a tough period and was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, Myositis, within a year.
