Over 2,010 kilograms of seized dry marijuana was incinerated by Government Railway Police (GRP), Secunderabad

The Government Railway Police (GRP), Secunderabad, destroyed over 2,010 kilograms of seized dry marijuana worth more than ₹10 crore, as part of a special nationwide disposal initiative.
The narcotic contraband, confiscated in 74 different cases across various railway divisions, was incinerated at Romo Industries in Thokkapur village, Bhongir.
It was conducted in strict adherence to official drug disposal protocols and fully documented through photographs and video recording.
According to a GRP release, the largest quantity, 1,419.229 kg worth ₹7.09 crore, was from the Secunderabad Urban Division. The Rural Division accounted for 100.842 kg valued at ₹50.42 lakh, while 490.064 kg worth ₹2.45 crore was from the Kazipet Division.
The disposal was overseen by the Drug Disposal Committee chairperson, Chandana Deepti, who is also the nodal officer for the initiative. Personnel from multiple divisions including Kacheguda, Hyderabad, Warangal, and Khammam also participated.
