Sharnbasva University to host its sixth convocation tomorrow-OxBig News Network

Sharnbasva University, which will hold the sixth annual convocation in Kalaburagi on Saturday, will start an undergraduate engineering course in Chip Design after obtaining approval from All India Council for Technical Education.

The sixth annual convocation of the Sharnbasva University will be held at the Dr. Basavarajappa Appa Memorial Hall in Kalaburagi on Saturday, eighth head of Sharanabasaveshwar Samsthan and Chancellor of Sharnbasva University Dr. Sharnbaswappa Appa and chairperson of the Sharnbasveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha Dakshayini S. Appa have said.

Addressing a joint press conference here on Thursday, Dr. Appa and Dr. Dakshayini Appa said that Vice-Chancellor of the Rani Chennamma University in Belagavi Thyagaraja will be delivering the sixth convocation address.

Dr. Dakshayini Appa said that the university has decided to confer honorary doctorate on three eminent personalities, scientist and Deputy Director of Integration and Checkout Area at U.R. Rao Satellite Centre, ISRO in Bengaluru, Ramanagouda V. Nadagouda, Sadashiva Swami of the Sri Kottala Basaveshwara Samsthan in Sedam of Kalaburagi district and leading publisher and Managing Director of Sri Siddalingeshwara Book Mall and Sri Siddalingeshwara Publishing House in Kalaburagi Basavaraj Konak during the convocation.

A total number of 174 students have secured ranks in their undergraduate and postgraduate courses and of them, 39 have secured gold medals, while nine will be provided cash awards instituted in the name of different personalities for their academic achievements.

Apart from this, seven meritorious scholars will be presented Ph.D.

Chip design course

The Sharnbasva University will start an undergraduate engineering course in Chip Design after getting approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Already, the university is offering undergraduate courses in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences and two postgraduate programmes in Yoga, Dr. Dakshayini Appa added.
