Ireland and England are all set to face each other in a two-match T20I series. The Castle Avenue in Dublin will host matches of the series on Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15.
England recently won their ODI series against their opponents, including a massive 275-run triumph in the second game. Ireland, however, made a comeback to win the third match by three wickets after 18-year-old Aimee Maguire became the sixth youngest in Women’s ODIs to pick up a five-wicket haul.
Kate Cross had a memorable series after she recorded the best bowling figures by an England skipper in ODIs, breaking Heather Knight’s record. Tammy Beaumont became the top run-getter of the series with a top score of 150 not out to her name.
For Ireland, the onus will be on Gaby Lewis and Orla Prendergast, who both played their parts in the 50-over format. Laura Delany continues to be away after being ruled out of the Sri Lanka series.
