RCB announce refund for washed out game vs KKR: Complete guide to get reimbursement-OxBig News Network

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have announced a ticket refund for their washed out fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday, May 17 played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The incessant heavy rain didn’t allow a single ball to be bowled throughout the fixture, which meant that the resumption game of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) got washed out.

Much to the delight of their fans, RCB have announced a complete refund of the match tickets. Fans who bought tickets throgh the online channel, will get a completye refund back to their original payment source within ten working days.

“As the game between RCB and KKR on 17th May 2025 was abandoned due to inclement weather, all valid ticket holders are eligible for a full refund. Digital ticket holders will be issued refund within 10 working days to their original account used to book the tickets,” informed RCB through a post on their social media handles.

On the other hand, fans who bought physical tickets through offline channels need to present their original tickets to official source to claim the refund.

“In case you do not receive refund by 31st May, kindly send an email to [email protected] with booking details to escalate the matter.Physical ticket holders are required to surrender their original ticket to the respective official source from where they purchased the tickets, in order to claim refund. Refunds are not applicable for complimentary tickets,” the post further read.

Meanwhile, after the washed-out game, points were shared between RCB and KKR. As a result, the Rajat Patidar-led side climbed to the top of the points table with 17 points from 12 matches while Kolkata got knocked out of the tournament. The Ajinkya Rahane-led side is reeling at the seventh spot on points table with 12 points from 13 matches. They became the fourth team to get knocked out of the tournament, joining Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the list.
