The legendary Sachin Tendulkar recently hit the nets ahead of the International Masters League, stirring nostalgia amongst fans before the tournament. Popularly known as the Master Blaster, Tendulkar retired from international cricket in 2013, but his absence on the field hasn’t affected his fan-following one bit. In the nets’ session, Tendulkar showcased his iconic batting skills, sending the cricket world into a frenzy.

With his shots and effortless elegance, the former batter reminded fans of his unmatched prowess and dedication to the game. His participation in the league has sparked excitement, as fans and former teammates eagerly anticipate seeing him back in action.

Mumbai Indians (MI) posted a video where Tendulkar can be seen taking part in the training session, taking his fans and admirers down the memory lane.

“Look who we saw batting in the nets from our windows,” wrote MI, for whom Tendulkar scored a century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) against the now-defunct Kochi Tuskers Kerala .

Sachin Tendulkar excited for International Masters League

Earlier, Tendulkar, who is the only batter with 100 centuries in international cricket, sounded excited about taking part in the Masters League, which is scheduled to take place from February 22 to March 16. Tendulkar will be in action on the opening day when India will face Sri Lanka, captained by Kumar Sangakkara.

“The IML will be a celebration of cricket’s unique and enduring legacy. I can’t wait to step back onto the field with my contemporaries in a league that will be intense and competitive, with all the teams playing hard, but fair,” Tendulkar was quoted as saying. Australia, England, South Africa and the West Indies are the other teams in the competition.

Brian Lara, Jacques Kallis and Shane Watson are some of the other legendary cricketers in the International Masters League, along with Tendulkar.
