‘Superman’ Sneak peek released: James Gunn teases Krypto, Fortress of Solitude, Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific, and more-OxBig News Network

DC Studios has unveiled a new sneak peek teaser of James Gunn’s much-hyped Superman, starring David Corenswet as the titular Man of Steel.

The new teaser shows more of the previously teased shot of Superman crash-landing in ice before being rescued by Krypto. After playing around with his master, the canine superhero drags Supes into the Fortress of Solitude, where Kryptonian robots help assess his injuries. After strapping him to a special chair, they blast a ray of sunlight to help him heal faster.

The teaser then cuts a montage that shows glimpses of Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced’s Hawkgirl, Anthony Carrigan’s Matamorpho and Edi Gathegi’s Mister Terrific, among others. Superman is set to follow Clark Kent’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his humble upbringing in Smallville, Kansas.

The cast of the film also features Skyler Gisondo (as Jimmy Olsen), Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher), Terence Rosemore (Otis), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner) and María Gabriela de Faría (The Engineer). María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neva Howell also feature in the film.

DC Studios heads Peter Safran and Gunn produce the film, which has a screenplay written by Gunn. The director is joined by his frequent collaborators for the technical side of things: director of photography Henry Braham, production designer Beth Mickle, costume designer Judianna Makovsky and composer John Murphy, along with editors William Hoy, Jason Ballantine and Craig Alpert.

Superman takes flight in the US on July 11 and internationally on July 9.
