Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava continues its record-breaking run at the box office, inching towards the coveted Rs595 crore mark. The period action drama, which opened to a stellar ₹31 crore on its first Friday, has showcased remarkable resilience despite new releases and diminishing screen counts.

A Strong Start and Sustained Momentum

Right from its opening weekend, Chhaava demonstrated its box office might. The film witnessed a massive surge on its first Sunday, collecting Rs 48.5 crore and setting the tone for a blockbuster run. The first week alone saw Chhaava accumulate Rs 219.25 crore, solidifying its status as one of the biggest Indian releases of 2025.
Even in its second week, the Vicky Kaushal starrer showed strong hold, adding Rs 180.25 crore to its total and third week contributing Rs 84.05 crore. Despite the inevitable weekday drops, weekend growth remained steady, with Saturday and Sunday collections boosting overall figures.

Declines and Weekend Resurgence

As expected with long-running films, Chhaava experienced gradual declines in collections, especially post its third week. However, it continued to defy expectations with occasional jumps. The fourth and fifth weekends played a crucial role in maintaining momentum, with figures like Rs 36.25 crore and Rs 23.15 crore indicating the audience’s continued interest in the film.

Sixth and Seventh Weeks Performance

Now in its seventh week, Chhaava has maintained its foothold with steady numbers. The 43rd day (Friday) brought in Rs 1.15 crore, followed by a significant jump on Saturday with Rs 2 crore. With Sunday’s early estimates at Rs 1.15 crore, the film’s total now stands at Rs 593.45 crore, just a step away from the Rs 595 crore milestone.One would have expected that with the release of Salman Khan’s Sikandar- Chhaava would have been completely out of cinema halls . But the lack of strong word of mouth for Salman starrer might just give a new lease of life to Vicky Kaushal’s historical and with this Chhaava has a chance to better it’s standing amongst the 10 biggest hit of Indian Cinema.
