Why Rakhi Sawant, Urfi Javed want fans to forgive Ranveer Allahbadia?

The controversy surrounding influencer and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, has taken an unexpected turn as celebrities like Rakhi Sawant and Urfi Javed have come forward to urge people to forgive him. Ranveer has been facing backlash for his inappropriate remarks on Samay Raina’s show, “India’s Got Latent,” which led to a police complaint being filed against him and other co-judges, including Ashish Chanchlani, Jasprit Singh, and Apoorva Makhija.

Rakhi recently took to her social media handle to ask people to move on from the issue. In her message, she wrote, “Forgive him, yaar. It’s okay, it happens sometimes. Forgive him. I know he did wrong, but forgive him.”

Interestingly, Rakhi has also appeared on “India’s Got Latent” in the past.

Urfi also stepped in to defend Ranveer and fellow comedian Samay Raina. While she did not support their comments, she lashed out at those demanding jail for them.

In an Instagram story, Urfi wrote, “You don’t like certain people, you don’t like the things that they do or say, but demanding for them to go to jail for that? Are you serious? Ummmm! I don’t know. Samay is a friend, I have his back but even the rest of the people on the panel, what they said was distasteful, yes, but I don’t think they deserve to go to jail for that.”

Ranveer had earlier issued a public apology, taking full responsibility for his inappropriate comment. In his video statement, he admitted, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform, and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it.”
