Five injured after taking pictures in Connecticut mall, search on for suspect, say police

A gunman shot and wounded 5 folks at a Connecticut mall on Tuesday (May 27, 2025), prompting an evacuation and a large police response, and officers say they’re nonetheless trying to find the suspect.

Waterbury Police Chief Fernando Spagnolo mentioned officers responded to the Brass Mill Center for studies of a disturbance at round 4:40 p.m. He mentioned all victims had been being handled at native hospitals, although he declined to elaborate on the extent of their accidents.
