Election Day is not a federal holiday but some states observe it as a holiday. State offices will be closed on November 5 in Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Virginia, West Virginia.
