Kapil Sharma’s Canada cafe recently attacked by Khalistani terrorists reopens

Comedian Kapil Sharma’s newly opened venture, Kap’s Cafe in Canada’s British Columbia, has reopened after being attacked on July 9. Unidentified assailants had opened fire on the cafe, just days after its launch.

Kapil Sharma shared a story from the official Kap’s Cafe Instagram page, confirming that the cafe is now open again.

In a post, the cafe’s official page said: “WE’VE MISSED YOU AND ARE TRULY GRATEFUL FOR YOUR CONTINUED LOVE AND SUPPORT. WITH HEARTFELT THANKS, WE’RE OPENING OUR DOORS AGAIN – READY TO WELCOME YOU BACK WITH WARMTH, COMFORT, AND CARE. SEE YOU SOON.”

WHO WAS BEHIND THE SHOOTING?

Nine bullets were reportedly fired at the caf’s window. Khalistani terrorist Harjit Singh Laddi, who is associated with the banned group Babbar Khalsa International and is on India’s most-wanted list according to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), claimed responsibility for the attack.

In response to the incident, the cafe team shared a note on Instagram, saying they were still processing the shock but would not give up. Their message read: “We opened Kap’s Cafe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up.”

Fans were deeply disturbed by the news, especially after Kapil Sharma addressed the incident on social media, prompting a wave of support.

Earlier on September 1, 2024, Punjabi singer AP Dhillon’s residence in Vancouver was targeted when assailants fired 14 rounds outside the property. A video of the shooting went viral on social media, showing a man opening fire. The attack was later claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara gangs.
