Limousine from Vladimir Putin’s fleet explodes in Moscow, catches fire: Report

An Aurus limousine, believed to be part of Vladimir Putin’s official car fleet, exploded and caught fire on a Moscow street near the FSB secret service headquarters. Footage of the incident appears to show 275,000 Aurus Senat engulfed in flames, with the fire spreading from the engine to the interior.

The vehicle reportedly belonged to the Kremlin’s Presidential Property Management Department, but it remains unclear who was inside it or what caused the sudden blaze on Sretenka Street. There were no reported injuries or fatalities, Daily Express reported.

The 72-year-old Russian President often uses Russian-made Aurus vehicles and has gifted them to foreign leaders, including North Korea’s Kim Jong-un.

The incident is likely to heighten Kremlin concerns over assassination plots.

Earlier this year, the Kremlin warned that any attempt on Putin’s life would trigger a nuclear response. Russian Parliament Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin called such discussions a “serious threat to global security.”

Ukraine’s military intelligence chief, Kyrylo Budanov, has claimed multiple assassination attempts on Putin have been made.

The explosion follows a series of high-profile Russian military deaths, fueling Kremlin paranoia. In December, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, accused of overseeing chemical warfare in Ukraine, was killed in a Moscow explosion.
