External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has rejected former U.S. President Donald Trump’s assertion that Washington mediated the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Jaishankar emphasised that the ceasefire was the results of direct negotiations between the 2 nations, with none exterior involvement.
Speaking to Dutch broadcaster NOS, Jaishankar mentioned, “The ceasefire was negotiated immediately between India and Pakistan. We advised everybody, together with the US, that if they need an understanding, they’ve to speak to us immediately. “And that is why it occurred.”
