US President-elect Donald Trump arrived in Washington with his family, supporters and political allies a day ahead of his second inauguration on Saturday evening.
He landed at the Dulles International Airport in Virginia, and was accompanied by his wife, Melania, daughter Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner.
Trump will host a reception for about 500 guests and a fireworks display later on Saturday evening, news agency Reuters said.
He is scheduled to hold a rally with his supporters inside the Capital One Arena in Washington on Sunday, the eve of his inauguration, as well as a post-inauguration event on Monday afternoon.
Trump flew to Washington on an Air Force plane sent by outgoing President Joe Biden to Trump’s resort on Palm Beach in Florida, where Trump was preparing for his transition after defeating Kamala Harris in the November 5 election.
