In a big revelation that comes after US President Donald Trump’s crackdown on USAID, it was found that one of the beneficiaries of USAID, which funds non-government organisations across the globe, was the Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation, a front of a UN-designated banned terrorist organisation called the Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Lashkar-e-Taiba was behind the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Over $180,000 was allocated in 2021 and 2023, prompting concerns over US funding mechanisms and possible deep state involvement.
