Verified locations of Indian drone impact sites in Pakistan

India has carried out drone attacks on several cities in Pakistan and the Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) military confrontation continues to widen following airstrikes on terrorist camps. Unverified and fake videos of drone attacks and their claimed shootdowns in Pakistan have flooded social media.

To filter facts from fiction, India Today has verified these claims using social media videos posted by locals, eyewitness accounts, satellite images, and reports in Pakistan’s media.

Our analysis has established that Indian drones either hit, crashed or were shot down in at least 13 places in Punjab and Sindh provinces.

Some drones landed near the cantonment areas in Okara and Bahawalnagar, Punjab. Arifwala, Rawalpindi, Gujrat, Attock, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura near Muridke (where Jaish-e-Mohammed terror facility was hit on May 7), Ghotki, Malir, Pakpattan, and Vehari.

At least four drones were shot down near the Okara cantonment area on Friday morning, as per local media reports and social media posts. A video posted by a local man shows an injured person being carried for medical attention by locals.

Pakistani media quotes security sources to report that so far, 77 Indian drones have been shot down.

Most of the drone attacks were reported on Thursday. The government said it sent drones inside Pakistan in response to Pakistani missile and drone attacks on 15 locations in northern and western India. On Thursday night, Pakistani drones and missiles attacked Jammu city and were intercepted by Indian air defences.

On Thursday, an Indian drone eliminated an air defence system of Pakistan in Lahore.

Meanwhile, the Border Security Force (BSF) foiled a major infiltration attempt along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district in the early hours of Friday, killing seven terrorists suspected to be affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
