The police have released the bodycam footage revealing the exact moment when Ryan Wesley Routh, the 58-year-old man who attempted to kill former US President Donald Trump in Florida was arrested. This was the second apparent attempt on Trump’s life in two months.
The footage, shared by the Martin County Sheriff’s office, shows Routh, wearing sunglasses, walking backwards with his hands over his head before being handcuffed and led away by law enforcement officers.
Routh was arrested about 45 minutes after he was spotted by Secret Service agents at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.
