NEW DELHI: Global star Diljit Dosanjh met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday and had a “memorable meeting.”
Diljit Dosanjh, the artist who always tops the international charts, after concluding his Grand Finale of the ‘DIL-LUMINATI’ tour of 2024 in his hometown, Ludhiana, went to meet PM Modi
“A fantastic start to 2025 A very memorable meeting with PM @narendramodi Ji. We talked about a lot of things including music of course!” Dilijit Dosanjh said in a post on X.
While interacting, the PM praised the global artist and said, “Your family named it Dil Jeet, so you keep winning.”
In the interaction Dosanjh said, “We used to read about it, ‘My India, Great,’ and when I traveled across India, I realized why people say that – truly, the greatness of India is its power.”
“I had seen your interview, sir, and now when I think of it, the position of Prime Minister is very high for us, but behind it, there’s a mother, a son, and a person. Many times, people forget that the heart is very big. When you carry your mother and Ganga Maiya with you, it fills your heart. That touch is very special. Actually, this comes from the heart,” he added.
A rare moment was seen in the interaction where Diljit sang a song and PM Modi was seen giving beats while beating table.
PM Modi shared the photo in X and said that he had a great interaction with Diljit Dosanjh. “He’s truly multifaceted, blending talent and tradition. We connected over music, culture and more…” he added.
